Digg Officially Coming to the iPhone

It looks like there might finally be an official Digg app for the iPhone on the way! There are currently plenty of unofficial Digg apps for the iPhone, but annoyingly they don’t actually let you digg stories. To be fair that isn’t their fault, Digg itself doesn’t allow third party apps to digg stories. One would imagine, or at least hope, that the official app would rectify this situation. Digg founder Kevin Rose revealed that an official app was on the way during an interview at FOWA in London. Rose is himself a big Apple fan and has an iPhone so it seems a bit strange that it should have Digg this long to get an app into the app store.

There’s no word on an exact release date yet, but here’s hoping it’s soon!
