Sample Shots and Video Made by Sony Ericsson Satio

The evening yesterday did not stop just by covering the event. We also tried the devices of course. This led to the decision to share the following six pictures and video made by a pre-release unit of the Sony Ericsson Satio.

The device we used was painted in the stunning red color and had all available features on board you may have read about in our coverage or the press introduction of the device. Just to give a short recap of the device. The build-in camera has 12 milion pixels meaning pictures with a resolution of 4000 x 2250 pixels. A xenon flash, active lens cover, touch focus, face detection, Smile Shutter technology, Smart Contrast, Photo fix, BestPic (which lets you take 9 photos in rapid succession), Geo-tagging, red-eye reduction, 12x digital zoom are available under the touch of your finger.

The pictures below were made with a pre-release unit and shot at the highest available quality setting. The camera responded reasonably well while shooting the pictures. The xenon flash is used in most of the pictures. We were not able to find out if the overall quality will improve before the release. (click any picture to enlarge)

Swapping to the video is easily done using the photo/camera-button on the right hand of the device. The VGA video recording is sufficient in low-light circumstances. Of course the camera has several settings available.
