Facebook 3.0 for iPhone Almost Ready

One of the best incarnations of Facebook on a mobile device has been the iPhone app and the next version is set to be released shortly with the author saying that version 3.0 is 98% complete.

There are a number of new features in the latest version, including live streaming in the news section of the application, plus:

• New homescreen, with 3×3 menu grid
• ‘Like’ option to show approval for updates
• Events & notes added
• Create photo albums
• Upload photos to any album
• Zoom into photos
• Improved photo tagging
• Quick call & texts from friends page

It isn’t all good news though because there will be no push support. That is said to be coming in the 3.1 update, but it’s still a shame it won’t be coming in this update.
