Nokia 3720 ClassicNokia has introduced the new Nokia 3720 classic today, an IP-54 certified mobile phone designed to resist water, dust and shock. The new 3720 was displayed in several videos over the past few days. We showed you five videos in total. Two new ones can be found below; 3720 versus paintball and 3720 versus jelly.

The new ruggedized device follows the footsteps of Nokia’s highly popular ‘rugged’ devices of the past. It is made of durable materials – available in a range of colours – and is entirely sealed to protect the inner electronics. The battery cover protects both the battery and the internal circuitry of the device. The SIM card holder and battery are only accessible by unlocking the screw on the back of the device.

The Nokia 3720 classic also offers a LED flashlight and Nokia Maps, which comes pre-loaded on the 1GB microSD memory card. The 2.2-inch 16 million colours display shows all your information in wet, dusty or muddy environments. Furthermore there is 2.0 megapixel camera with LED flash, digital zoom and video recording, music player, stereo FM-radio, 20MB of free internal memory, XHTML internet browser and Bluetooth 2.1. The device support tri-band GSM-networks and GPRS/EDGE connectivity.

The Nokia 3720 is expected to retail for approximately 125 euro and is expected to begin shipping this summer.
