Introduction: Samsung E1107 Crest Solar Phone

Samsung has unveiled the first solar powered mobile phone that will be commercially available in India. The Korean maker gave a first glimpse of their solar powered line-up with the introduction of the Blue Earth concept in Barcelona last February. Now the first product is finding its way to the commercial market.
The Solar Guru (Guru E1107) or E1107 Crest Solar will be a mobile phone focussed on the low price segment of the market. The device will merely be positioned at this solar charging capabilities, which ensures around 5-10 minutes of talk time after 1 hour of solar charging. The device packs support for dual-band GSM-networks, a 1.52-inch 65.536 CSTN screen and 128 x 128 pixels resolution, FM-radio, MP3-ringtones, built-in flashlight, Mobile Tracker, Fake Call and a 800mAh battery.

Apart from India, Solar Guru will also be launched in June in Europe, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia and Latin America. Pricing is around 60 dollars.
