Introduction: T-Mobile G2 Touch Including Navigon Navigation Software

T-Mobile G2 Touch smallT-Mobile got his own version of HTC Hero; the T-Mobile G2 Touch. The handset was mentioned before, even got delayed until August and will officially be introduced by the German carrier at the IFA 2009 in Berlin. T-Mobile switched names from G1 Touch to G2 Touch over the past few weeks. The new name is much easier to recognize and gives the user the idea that he or she is getting the second device within the Android line-up.

Next to the introduction of the G2 Touch, NAVIGON will introduce their solution for Android. Both the G1 and G2 Touch will be able to run the application making it the first ever turn-by-turn navigation application for Android operated devices. Windows Mobile devices like the MDA Vario V, IV, and III, MDA Compact, IV and III, Ameo 16GB, XPERIA X1 and i900 Omnia will also be equipped with the Navigon software.

T-Mobile G2 Touch

The application will be available for a trial period of 30 days. You can get maps for the whole of Europe or only Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The software will be available on Android Market from August 2009. The price of both packages is not known at this stage.
