X2 On Vodafone This November

It looks like Vodafone UK are all set to release the Sony Ericsson X2 this November. That would be a relatively quick turnaround for the handset given the lengthy period between the announcement of its successor, the X1, and it’s eventual release some ten months later.

Interestingly though a November release for the X2 lends some credibility to the theory that the forthcoming X3, Sony Ericsson’s first Android powered handset, may see the light of day in January next year. With the X2 released in time for the Christmas shopping period it could soak up enough sales to permit a close launch of the X3 a few months later.
